After the MRF455 was blown i decided to clean up my lincoln.
previous owner couldn't use a soldering iron and made a big mess inside when he made a 3,5mm jack plug for a external speaker.
repairs and mods:
- Blue led backlight (made the dim function obsolete but i don't realy mind)
- Fixed speaker wiring.
- swapped out the mrf 455 for a sd1446.
- swapped out the sc1969 for a new one because it was destroyed by the MRF455.
- swapped out a bad capacitor
- did a RX mod
after al that the lincoln was propperly tuned and tested, now its running perfectly.

MRF 455 vs 2SD1446.
it puts out about the same power but stay's cooler than the mrf and thats a big plus.

Testing the fm power on a dummyload after the fine tuning.
normaly i work at about 4-10 watt's.

The led that went in with the resistor already solderd on.

this was when i tested the led mod.
its 1 resistor and 2 leds on the same leads as the factory lamp.
mind the polarity when doing this mod!!
